Dr. Sue Keller earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, after graduating Cum Laude from Harvard University. She completed a General Practice Residency at Hartford (CT) Hospital and was an on-call member of the oral and maxillofacial surgery trauma team.
First established in Greenfield in 1995, she relocated from Franklin to Hampshire County in 2007 to better serve the local Florence and Northampton, MA communities with exceptional dental care in a comfortable setting.
Dr. Sue is passionate about empowering patients to take care of their smiles and create dental wellness for a lifetime. She particularly enjoys providing care for adults with anxiety about receiving dental treatment. Dr. Sue created “Smile Shares” preventive care memberships to level the playing field for patients without traditional dental insurance.
Always focusing first on creating a positive experience, Dr. Sue makes sure her guests aren’t rushed, whether they are here for their preventive hygiene visit or restoring dental implants. It is critical to her that guests understand and feel comfortable with their best options.
In order to consistently provide the best care to her patients, Dr. Sue continually invests in education for both her and her team. She has received advanced training with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation to safely provide comfortable care to patients with dental anxiety. She also did extensive post-doctoral studies with Dr. John Kois in Seattle to learn to create long-lasting, predictable results for her patients.
Dr. Sue is well-known in local communities, serving on local boards, supporting local business, musical, and theater events. She serves as treasurer on the board of the Snow Farm Craft Center, studies improv comedy with the Happier Valley Comedy School, and sings women’s a Capella with High Definition of the Northampton Community Music Center, as well as the women’s quartet Pie Girlz. Dr. Sue resides in Deerfield with her husband (a math teacher at Deerfield Academy), and teenaged daughter and son.
Michelle always has a positive attitude at our practice. She brings knowledge, experience, and a keen desire to learn. She loves the calm, guest-centered atmosphere of our office and always tries to reflect it with her own demeanor. Patients rave about how gentle she is and how willing to share her knowledge to help them have a healthier smile. Michelle graduated from Springfield Technical Community College where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She lives with husband, Jonathan, their daughter, Natalie and their son, Andrew. Michelle is a reality TV junky who loves crafting, Zumba, trivia, and walking in her spare time.
Lydia is from Greenfield, where she lived until moving to Fort Drum NY, while her husband was deployed to Iraq. She pursued a career knowing she wanted to help people, and worked as a Medical Assistant for a dermatology office. She was able to transfer offices when she and her family relocated back to Western Mass. She grew a passion for providing patient care, eventually transitioning into the dental field.
She and her husband currently reside in Erving, MA, with their chihuahua and cat. She loves music, dancing, ice cream and puppy kisses.
“The most rewarding part of my job at Strong and Healthy Smiles is seeing a patient with a renewed confident smile after treatment.”
Neph is a brand new addition to our team! She was raised in Pennsylvania, and happy to have recently moved back to Western Mass: she feels at home within this community like no other. Since 2008, when she had a digestive health scare of her own, she was inspired to study holistic health. Quickly she learned that all parts of the body are intrinsically connected and her immersive journey led her to joining our team to study as a dental assistant through the lens of a holistic healer. She loves to dance, sing and constantly learn. She feels exploring her creative sides are ways she can stay happy, healthy and ultimately stay positive and keep smiling.
