• Native of Erie, PA.
  
  
• After years of classical performance, Dr. Sue has expanded her horizons and has learned to play jazz. She can often be found at local venues listening (and sometimes playing) live jazz! Her teacher is jazz master Dr. Ed Byrne.
  
  
• Hosts jazz jams at the "Blue Tooth Cafe" monthly for local jazz musicians and afficionados.
  
  
• Studies aikido at Green River Aikido in Greenfield, MA www.greenriveraikido.org.
  
  
• Enjoys beaches, oceans, white-water rafting, playing ice hockey, and reading science fiction/fantasy.
  
  
• Accomplished double bassist, having performed locally as principle bass with the Pioneer Valley Symphony and Commonwealth Opera, and is a founding board member of the Western New England Double Bass Society.
  
  
• Has sang tenor with the Franklin Medical Center’s a cappella group, Clinical Notes, and has been in the chorus of the Valley Light Opera.
  
  
• Has lived at Deerfield Academy since 1993, where her husband Sean teaches math, coaches boys’ soccer, and has supervised a dormitory.
  
  
• Proud mom of daughter Hunter (2002) and son Avery (2004).
