Our Unique ApproachPerhaps the best way to illustrate our approach is to describe it in the context of what it is not.

Other typical dental practices |
Patient-focused When you come to Strong & Healthy Smiles, we are sincerely happy you are here and honored that you have chosen us to coach you on your path to your best smile! You deserve our undivided attention, and our visits are planned to allow time for us to treat you right! |
Turn-over focused Many dentists overbook patients, causing unnecessary waiting. Once in the chair, the dentist may be seen running between rooms, shipping patients in and out as quickly as possible. All this to “optimize” the number of possible patients seen in one day. Why? When dentists sign contracts with reduced-fee insurance plans, they must often see many more patients each day, in order to compensate for the low dental insurance reimbursements. Your comfort and quality of treatment may not be their primary concern. |
Comfort is a priority We have invested in soothing your senses during the entire process. Heated massage chairs and blankets, personal “video glasses”, sedation therapies, hot and cold beverage bar…the list goes on. |
The classic dentist environment The dental office smell, the painful mouth x-ray that digs into your mouth, the painful shots and finally, the whining noises of the drill. Our new technology and caring skills minimize your discomfort at Strong & Healthy Smiles. |
Emphasis on prevention Our goal is to create, and teach you to maintain, your best smile. Early investment in prevention can pay handsome dividends in comfort, strength, and a beautiful smile for the rest of your life. If you’ve always wanted to know more, and be an active participant in your care, you’ve found the right practice. |
Patch-and-fill Dentists typically focus on the immediate cavities, pain, infections, and disease…and then “watch” a problem area until something bad happens, like a cracked tooth or an abscess. This method is not only painful, but more expensive in the long run. |
Commitment to Excellence Dr. Keller is a cum laude graduate of Harvard University and achieved her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. What’s more, since opening her office in Greenfield in 1995, Dr. Keller has invested wisely to educate herself and her team beyond the basic requirements of the profession. She has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education seminars all around the United States, studying with some of the best practitioners available. |
License Maintenance
In Massachusetts, dentists are required to attend 20 hours of continuing education per year to maintain their licenses. Beyond that, how much a dentist learns and how well they keep up with new improvements in dentistry is up to the individual dentist. |
